With the outbreak of COVID-19 we are currently facing an unprecedented set of circumstances.

Scottish Government guidance was provided on Thursday afternoon (12.03.2020) around event cancellations however the full details to support this will not be available until this weekend, meaning we have had to weigh up the risks and benefits to holding The race to end homelessness this Sunday, 15 March 2020.

This decision has not been taken lightly, but with both staff and members participating and volunteering we have to take in to consideration the impact this could have on our services for people experiencing homelessness across Edinburgh and the Lothians in the coming weeks. We also would not want to put any members, volunteers, participants or staff at any risk.

We are currently working on securing an alternative date and look forward to updating this page in due course.

We are the national charity for homeless people. We help people directly out of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to solve it altogether.

We work directly with thousands of homeless people every year. We provide vital help so that people can rebuild their lives and are supported out of homelessness for good.

We offer one to one support, advice and courses for homeless people in 12 areas across England, Scotland and Wales. How we help someone depends on their individual needs and situation. It could be with finding a home and settling in, getting new skills and finding a job, or help with their health and wellbeing.

We use research to find out how best to improve our services, but also to find wider solutions to homelessness.

Together with homeless people and Crisis supporters, we campaign for the changes needed to end homelessness for good.
